Land Use Reform, Housing Markets, and Segregation
In this project, I study the effects of Houston’s 1998 subdivision reform on housing, which relaxed land-use regulations in part of the city. I analyze first-order effects of the reform on housing supply and housing affordability. I also study its ultimate consequences for economic and racial integration.
